Where tech meets the track
ICE Innovations is a Durham, North Carolina technology company. We build marketplaces where the price is agreed in the open and the platform's cut is a number you chose, not a percentage you discover later. Rides. Deliveries. Meals. And the advisory practice that teaches companies to build the same way.
The ventures
Every one of them runs the same way: two people agree a price, the platform shows its fee before anyone commits, and the person doing the work keeps the difference.
Riders propose a fare, drivers accept or counter, the price locks before pickup. No surge pricing. Drivers pick a monthly plan and keep up to 100% of every fare. Previously ICE Ride.
Send a package across town with a verified Oak driver. Same agreed fee, photo proof at both ends, live tracking the whole way.
Home cooks sell real home cooked meals to neighbors. AI matching pairs eaters with the cook they will love. A storefront without a restaurant lease.
AI strategy and enterprise architecture for executives and founders, from a team that operates the platforms it advises on.
I interviewed 1,800 drivers before we wrote a line of code. Every one of them said the same thing: the algorithm always wins. So we built the version where it does not get a vote.
How we build
We open one zone at a time, starting around Cary, so riders find drivers fast and drivers stay busy. Every signup decides where we open next.
A driver sees their take home before accepting. A rider sees the agreed fare before pickup. A cook sets her own price. The fee is on the screen, every time.
The fare negotiation, dynamic commission, demand visualization and referral systems behind Oak Ride, and iChef's matching, are covered by pending United States patents.
