Oak Driver
Drive with Oak Ride
You have done the math at a red light: the fare the rider paid, the deposit that hit your account, the gap between them. Oak Ride was built so you never do that math again.
See your take home before you accept
Every request shows the proposed fare and exactly what lands in your account on your plan. Accept, counter, or pass. Acceptance rate never affects your standing.
Pick the plan, keep the rest
| Plan | Monthly fee | Commission | Matching priority | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pay as you go | $0 | 25% | Standard | Trying it, occasional driving |
| Bronze | $49 | 20% | Above standard | Part time, about 100 rides a month |
| Silver | $149 | 10% | High | Steady part time to full time |
| Gold | $299 | 0% | Highest | Full time. Keep every fare |
A full time driver grossing $4,000 a month pays $1,000 away at a typical 25% commission. On Gold the same driver pays a flat $299 and keeps the rest: about $700 a month, $8,400 a year, for the same work in the same car. Tips are 100% yours. Change plans any time as your hours grow.
Know where the riders are
The Oak Driver app shows a live demand map in small hexagons: riders waiting against drivers already nearby, so a busy area that is already covered stays quiet and an area with riders and no cars lights up. You also get alerts when a flight into RDU is about to land, a game or concert is ending, or bars are closing, and a notification when a nearby area heats up even while you are navigating in Google Maps or Waze.

Start
Download Oak Driver, apply in the app, upload your documents. Verification usually completes in two to three business days and you can drive on the free plan the same day you are approved. Early drivers in each zone lock in founding driver standing and are first in line as the next zone opens.
