Oak Ride, Oak Driver and Oak Drop are operated by ICE Innovations Inc., a North Carolina corporation, 600 Park Offices Drive, Suite 300, Durham, North Carolina 27713. Oak Ride was previously marketed as ICE Ride and Oak Drop as ICE Drop. The legal entity did not change.
Regulatory status
ICE Innovations Inc. operates as a transportation network company under North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 20, Article 10A, and holds the permit and insurance that article requires. Drivers on the platform are independent contractors, not employees, and are not licensed as taxi or limousine operators; they provide prearranged rides through the app only. Oak is not a common carrier and does not provide transportation itself.
Accuracy of information
We work to keep the website and apps accurate. Fares, plan prices, service areas, wait times and vehicle availability shown in the apps are live and are the authoritative source; anything on the website is for information. Suggested fares are estimates until a rider and driver agree. We may correct errors without notice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ICE Innovations Inc., its directors, officers and employees are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, and total liability is limited as stated in the Terms of Service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.
Third party links and services
The apps and website use Google Maps, Stripe and other third party services under their own terms, and may link to other sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Trademarks
Oak, Oak Ride, Oak Driver, Oak Drop, ICE Ride, ICE Drop, iChef and the rings logo are trademarks of ICE Innovations Inc. Other names belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
Governing law and venue
These notices and all policies on this site are governed by North Carolina law. Venue and dispute handling are set out in Dispute Resolution and Arbitration.
